A running account of the "race without an entry fee"..... The Tuesday night ride

Long loop or short?

Speak up ( intelligently ) everyone or don't complain when someone else decides. The dark ride home matters little to the Cheshire riders heading back on bike trail. New Haveners? What do you think?

Could someone just bring a bag of those freebie bike lights that banks are always handing out and we can end the discussion? Last week I got home after 8 due to down power lines and it was DARK.

who's riding tonight? If we are riding in the rain, i suggest doing a modified loop. There is no way anyone will see us going down RT-10 in the rain at 7:30. FYI - The sun is setting around 7:15.

I plan on riding. Don't want to spoil the party but I don't think it's wise to do the long loop at this time anymore. I will ride the standard short loop and we should make sure at the parking lot that everyone knows about the split so there won't be any issue at the turn.

I plan on riding as well. I have no preference about which loop.

Some data to consider:

Sunset 7:17 PM
End of Civil Twilight 7:45 PM

With the rain and overcast, should be very dark by 7:30. Bring front and rear lights all.

Change of plans. I won't make it. Wishing all of you out there a safe ride. Watch out for Jelle, he kind of loves this shitty weather.

I left the parking lot at 6pm with anonymous. We quickly settled into a good rhythm and there was no way the brothers "DOUCHE" were gonna catch us. Anon did most of the work, took the sprints and the finish. See you other fair weather pussies when the conditions are less harsh!
