Greg Comen, manager of Zanes cycles, is having a cool supported ride oct 17, it's called the dirty dozen. Ride easy to the base of a dozen hills in the area where a whistle is blown and we race up. Total points are accumulated. Prizes and trophies to the winner of a mens and womens category.

How about putting together an actual sanctioned event like you are supposed to and not put so much attention into flipping bikes to rich credit card junkies?

Anonymous said...

Oh OK because the CCR kits are so cool?????

Zanes loves squirrels.

Geez, one plug for a pissing contest outside of the TWC and a whole team gets labeled as non sanctioned, squirrel loving, bike flipping fashionistas. Damn.

Zane's hillclimb ride sounds like fun. I have Cyclocross races though. Do a spring time edition of the ride.

To Anon, no problem, you're welcome. It's fun and it keeps everyone here on their toes for the ride. It should be said that if anyone ever wants to write and\or contribute to the blog, the door is always open. We had a couple brave souls helpout over the year and look forward to more next year.

Zane's should know that the woman's team from Cycling Concepts is organizing a hill climb called, "The Dirty Dozen." Perhaps it would be wise if you guys combined forces? You could probably use the help.

Let's set this straight...
The ride is not being put on by, nor is it affiliated with Zanes, or the Zanes team. 'Greg Comen, manager at Zanes' was only a point of reference. Greg is also a co owner of CT cycle center, an indoor computrainer gym in Branford. The ride itself is a good measure of fitness for his clients before the winter and I would assume the same ride will be done in the spring.

Isn't there a Dirty Dozen Hill Climb race out of Glastonbury that has been running for a couple of years? Did Zane's steal that idea?

Wow, what an ignorant douche.
