The Break Nearly Gets It Right
It was another agressive ride tonight, with Alan B attacking numerous times, Hunter P and Ryan O attacking steadily as well, and Henk along with Chris C playing the opportuntiststo the action off the front.
The biggest break of the day started when Hunter P and Ben Bruce bridged up to Alan B and Henk shortly after the false flat on Mount Vernon. That group of 4 got to work and built up enough of a gap to get thru the midpoint sprint all alone. Hunter P took it over Ben Bruce and Alan B. The group stayed together for the long ride back into Cheshire and may have stuck it the entire way, but the light fro crossing route 10 was red for the break, green for the chase.
Even so, Alan stayed on it up front and he had Ryan O and Big Red up there to assist. There was a small gap but it was all together by the climb on Route 70, Meriden Road. Little T took off the front with a strong pull and was soon joined by Alan B, Chris C, and Special Ed. That group was rounded up by Ben Bruce and Big Red, just in time for Hunter P to take the Hickory Hill Sprint Point (no points tho cause not enough people know about it yet).
From there, Kudos to Tom Krol for chasing down a couple of attacks by Alan B, as the ride went south thru Cheshire's East Side. Alan tried a couple more times off the front, as well as the Senryak. Ben Bruce had a chance at a long lead out but it was too long, and Little T came thru with autority to get the sprint points at the curve on Tuttle Ave.
Great ride everyone!
